Summer Stars is a free national reading programme that takes place throughout the summer in every library in Ireland, with ‘stars’ earned for every book read. It’s one of the four calendar events of ‘Right to Read’, a programme by Libraries Ireland to promote literacy and reading development for people of all ages, and particularly children. The theme we worked on at Southern this year featured kids floating off on adventures with a bevy of storybook characters. Our work included animations, stamp cards, posters, banners and social media asset creation.

World of Imagination
Spring into Storytime is one of the four events that Right to Read holds every year. Southern were asked to brand each of these four events in 2021. Our theme engaged with how books open a world of imagination and companionship for the reader. Featuring the beautiful work of illustrator Jennifer Farley, Spring into Storytime had participating children immersed in the world of their books, accompanied by their favourite characters.
