Southern Media was commissioned to create this campaign for LGMA to highlight the often unseen work performed every day on behalf of the public by Ireland’s Councils. We produced, shot and edited two short films, each taking viewers through a 24 hour day of activity.

Capturing The Story
Involving over a 100 people in this production over two weeks, we spanned the country filming the unique and varied work people do as they ‘work for you’. As well as the great visuals, we knew each film would need a different device to bring the message to life.
‘Working For You’ has a narrator bringing us through the wide variety of work our local authorities do. ‘Every Hour, Every Day’ has a time stamp for the 24 hours of daily activity and signs posts throughout, which were designed to convey how this work is so embedded in all aspects of our day-to-day lives.

Telling The Story
In our consultations with the LGMA, it was clear that they really wanted to shine a light on how crucial yet subtle their work is to us all. The Southern team followed local authorities by day and night to capture the magic of what is it they do. We then worked with the LGMA to create a comprehensive schedule of social media assets and animated gifs to help the LGMA to tell this story.
