There are hundreds of ways that we connect with each other; from sports clubs to travel groups, from book swaps to dance classes, from choirs to train spotting. Even here at Southern Media, where we understand data and how to find and target very specific audiences, it would be quite the task to find somebody who does not benefit from belonging to a strong, supportive community!
Community
We love projects that keep our communities active, healthy, creative and engaged.
Strong communities are so important because they give us all a sense of belonging.
Community Strength
Communities really are the bedrock of our lives and we have worked with a lot of communities over the years, including the GAA, HSE and many other initiatives and campaigns that have helped to strengthen communities all over Ireland. Take a look at some of our recent projects to see how we can help you promote your community-driven projects:
GAA Healthy Clubs
Commissioned to build a social and print campaign with members of one of the most beloved communities in the country. We worked with local GAA clubs on how they can assist the holistic health of the communities they serve.
Young Traveller Mental Health (YTMH)
A privilege to be involved with a body of work that will essentially change, or even save lives. Collaborating with young Travellers, a series of videos were produced that allowed them to communicate what mental health meant to them, and to those across their community.
Social Farming – Connecting for Life
Connecting for Life sets out a vision where fewer lives are lost through suicide, and where communities and individuals are empowered to improve their mental health and wellbeing. The Social Farming initiative is one such approach that is effective in helping those in need and strengthening this communities.
