Communication is evolving

It’s becoming less about campaigns, and more about consistency, clarity and trust.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working across a range of projects with organisations facing similar challenges: how to stay clear, relevant and consistent in a fast-moving environment.

Here’s a look at some of the patterns we’re noticing, and how they’re shaping our work in practice

The shift in marketing is becoming increasingly clear, across both public and private sector organisations.

Across our work, a number of patterns are emerging:

Consistency is outperforming campaigns

Always-on activity is delivering stronger results than one-off bursts.

Trust is a key differentiator

Audiences are more selective. Clear communication and credible proof points are essential.

Short-form content is leading performance

Messages need to be immediate, clear and easy to engage with (particularly on mobile).

Distribution is now critical

Creating content is only part of the process. Ensuring it reaches the right audience is where impact is achieved.

Owned channels are increasing in value

Websites, email and direct audience access are becoming more important as platforms continue to shift.

Simplicity consistently outperforms complexity

Clear, focused messaging delivers stronger results than communication that is overly complex or heavily produced

LGMA Corporate Plan Southern

We were very happy to be asked to assist the Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) in setting out their future, with the design of their Corporate Plan 2026-2030.

The Plan charts a clear strategic direction for the organisation, defining key priorities and establishing a strong framework for accountability over the coming years.

It serves as both a roadmap for the LGMA and a reference point for stakeholders across the local government sector.

Together, these outputs provide a cohesive snapshot of the LGMA’s commitment to transparent and effective customer service.

FSPO Southern

We were delighted to partner with the Financial Services and Pensions Ombudsman team again this year to create new campaign assets for Global Money Week, an annual, worldwide OECD campaign held in March to promote financial literacy among young people.

The FSPO is an independent, impartial, fair and free service that helps resolve complaints involving regulated financial service providers and pension providers.

We developed a range of playful animation and still social assets, designed to bring the key messages of the GMW campaign to life, helping to build understanding and communicate important information in a clear and engaging way.

Asiera Southern Marketing

At the end of 2025, HEAnet and EduCampus came together to form Asiera, a new organisation built on shared purpose and complementary strengths.

By combining HEAnet’s national research and education network with EduCampus’ digital and shared application services, Asiera now delivers a more integrated and comprehensive approach to ICT solutions across Ireland’s education and research landscape.

The Asiera name derives from an acronym, ‘Advancing Services for Irish Education, Resources and Academia,’ capturing both the organisation’s mission and its forward-looking vision.

Southern worked in partnership with HEAnet during this transition, helping shape a brand identity that simplifies complexity and communicates clarity, unity, and innovation.

Limerick at Night & Twilight Southern Light Loop

Since launching in 2025, Twilight Thursday and Limerick at Night have steadily expanded, month after month, bringing new energy to the city after hours.

Southern is working alongside the project team to refine messaging and develop creative assets that connect more effectively with the community and build participation.

The goal is to showcase the vibrancy of Limerick’s night-time economy while capturing the atmosphere, activities, and moments that define Twilight Thursday.

Southern was proud to support the launch of Biz Bays, a new flexible storage and workspace concept developed by StorageWise in Limerick.

As part of the campaign, we worked closely with the StorageWise team to shape the messaging and creative approach, helping translate a complex offering into a clear and compelling proposition for businesses.

Biz Bays was developed to meet the growing demand for adaptable, secure, and accessible space, enabling companies to store stock, equipment, and materials while remaining close to their operations and maintaining flexibility as they grow.

Some of the most valuable insights don’t come from structured meetings or planned discussions.

Before calling it a day, Nicole from our team stepped out to explore the city. A reminder that the best ideas often come from stepping outside, observing, listening, and engaging with the world around us.
