Local government services are spread across different departments, which can be confusing for citizens. With this preconception, they often didn’t know where to go, or how to start. Our job was to allay all these reservations, and create messaging that was reflective of a new service point that makes things simple, clear, and approachable.
ONE: Making Local Government Services Simple

Ireland has over a thousand local government services, but finding the right one can feel like a maze. That’s where services.localgov.ie comes in. It’s a new platform that brings all local government services together in one easy-to-use place, making life simpler for everyone trying to navigate the system.
Southern was asked to help get the word out. The brief? Make it clear, make it friendly, and make people feel confident using it. And that’s how the ONE campaign was born, a campaign built around the idea of one place for all local government services.
The Challenge


How We Did It
We started by getting to know the audience. What they understood, what confused them, and how they preferred to access services. From there, we built a creative concept that could travel across digital, social media, and video. The heart of the campaign was a short animated video, quick, clear, and engaging, showing how services.localgov.ie works and why it matters.
Along the way, we worked closely with Local Government Ireland and stakeholders to make sure every detail was accurate, accessible, and inclusive. We developed digital assets, social media posts, and a flexible campaign framework ready for a national rollout.
