Ireland is still in the lower leagues when it comes to breastfeeding. Perceptions about acceptance of breastfeeding in public are acknowledged to be a part of the problem. Limerick has set out to tackle this, becoming Ireland’s first Breastfeeding-Friendly City, and Southern were only too happy to help this amazing cause; making nursing mothers feel welcome. We’ve created the new ‘We’re Breastfeeding Friendly Limerick’ logo, which will now be displayed in the window of shops, restaurants and premises across Limerick.
In addition, we produced a one and a half minute launch video, as well as booklet and posters which will form part of a welcome pack for participating businesses.
